Dr. Barbara Christen and Angel Contrera, Futures and Options Summer 2008 Internship Program. Each year, Futures and Options is proud to award the Barbara L. Christen College Scholarship to an exemplary Futures and Options alumni. The winner will receive a $10,000 scholarship awarded over four years to be used for college expenses. Futures and Options has three main program areas: Career Essentials (career readiness training), The Internship Program (what it sounds like), and The College Guidance Initiative (college prep and application guidance). At this point you’re probably wishing that you had access to this kind of programming, and you should. 98% of the students involved graduate high school, and 96% go on to enroll in college. Since 1995, Futures and Options has empowered New York City's underserved youth to explore careers through career development and paid, mentored internships. We reach out to teens at a formative time of their lives, guiding them to further their education and become contributing citizens. The Futures and Options Internship Program provides New York City students with critical work-readiness training and the opportunity to gain firsthand work experience as interns with a dynamic range of business partners.

Our 2018 internship competition is open to all temporary employees of Kelly Scientific Resources (KSR) placed as interns through the Future Scientist Program Futures and Options' staff regularly call and visit each internship site to evaluate intern progress and work site quality. Since these are paid internships, Futures and Options' makes clear to all that an internship may be terminated. Interns recognize and accept this meaningful reality.
